GENERAL FEATURES

Sea Discharge Pipes It is a product produced from Polyethylene raw material in the Polyolefin group. It is manufactured from Ø500 mm diameter up to Ø3000 mm diameter by spiral production method. Thanks to the high chemical resistance of polyethylene, it can provide service for 50 years without being affected by sea salt.

The alternative to these facilities is nature itself. When pre-treated sewage water is given to the seas, very bad odors occur on the beaches. Water cannot be cleaned quickly. The reason is that the waste water concentration is high and there is not enough oxygen for bacteria to operate. Therefore, wastewater is transported to the sea current to dilute it. When the amount of water given becomes diluted in the sea, bacteria can operate and the water is naturally cleaned. Sea discharge pipes are the pipes that implement this method.

Pipes are produced in 11,80 mm lengths. It is placed on the undercurrent route of the sea from the treatment plant. These products are combined with extrusion or electrofusion welding. The mouths of the pipes to be laid in the sea are covered with metal flanges. As the pipe is welded, it is pulled into the sea by attaching concrete weights. Because the density of polyethylene is lower than water and there is air in it, our pipe floats on the water. When the final point of the route is reached, the valve on the flange is opened and the air is replaced by water. In this way, the pipe gets heavier and settles on the sea floor. After the land connection is made, the product goes into operation.

This product has become a source of salvation for our coastal cities. Cities such as Istanbul, Alanya, Antalya and Izmit have been purified from sewage pollution on their coasts with projects using these products.

PRODUCTION FEATURES

The product is manufactured as a mandrel on large cylinders. The polyethylene raw material is drawn in strips in the extruder machine. These strips are wrapped on the mandrel and given a pipe form.

Product; It is produced in different forms suitable for butt-welded, extruder-welded and electrofusion-welded joints. There is no need for fitting, ventilation shafts are used at the fitting points. Products are produced according to 0.5 bar operating pressure.

ADVANTAGES

It is the most superior product used in the discharge of pre-treated water taken from treatment plants up to sea currents.

It has a guaranteed life of at least 50 years against dental effects and can be used for 100 years.

As the plastics are hydraulic smooth, they show little resistance to the fluid and the fluid flows with a higher filling rate. This pulls down the project costs by selecting a lower diameter group in the project.

There is no product loss during application.

Since its density is very low compared to concrete and pouring, the need for a construction machine is reduced to minimum levels.

Due to its high abrasion resistance, it does not allow contamination of groundwater and soil by drilling.

All kinds of fittings allow the special product to be produced for the project.

When combined with electrofusion, it is impermeable even at 4 bar pressure and does not disperse.

It is not broken off by being affected by the shakes in the earthquake.

It can be used in river, lake and sea crossings.

At least 2 km of flooring can be performed per day.

The need for a diver in dipping process is almost nonexistent compared to others.

It does not come out of the joints in ground movements such as rigid pipes.

Since it is hydraulically smooth, the flow rate is higher and smaller diameters can be selected.

It is not corroded, has a very high chemical resistance, it is not affected by sea water.

THINGS TO PAY ATTENTION

Before electrofusion welding, it should be checked that the surfaces are clean.

It should be noted that the wires do not touch each other before welding.

In the immersion process, the movement of the pipe during the delivery of water to the pipe should be simulated well. The pipe should go down as horizontally as possible.

SERVICE LIFE

It has a service life of 50 years under 0.5 bar pressure.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1 - What is its raw material?

It is made of polyethylene (PE) raw material.

2 - What are the joining methods?

Spiral pipes are combined with butt welding, extrusion welding and electrofusion welds that enable them to be used up to 4 bar pressure.
