Dizayn PPR pipes and fittings are produced from Polypropylene Random Copolimer raw material that has low melt index, high molecular weight and high elasticity. Polypropylene raw material is obtained through polymerization of polypropylene monomers, which are derived from distillated petroleum, under controlled temperature and pressure. Polypropylene raw material is recognized in three cathegories:

Type 1: Polypropylene Homopolymer (PP-H)

Type 2: Polypropylene Block Copolymer (PP-B)

Type 3: Polypropylene Random Copolymer

PPR raw material's basic distinction is that it can be used in heating systems in addition to sanitary systems. PPR had penetrated to the market as an alternative to galvanized pipes but it has dominated the market by its advantages. This product has connection apparatus called as fittings. Metal fittings are produced in order to be joint to the metal apparatus on installation lines. Their assembling method is socket welding. On the grounds that the product has high welding capacity, 1-2 hours of training is enough to learn how to make healty welding. Production is made between Ø20-125. Production can be made in different colours however the colour of the pipe has no positive effect on its quality.

Production

PPR pipes are produced in a machine group called extruder whereas PPR fittings are produced in injection machines by which they are shaped in moulds. PPR fittings can also be produced as compatible to elctrofusion welding but this type of products have higher costs as opposed to ones compatible with socket welding.
